Alison Christie was born in Surrey in 1961 and moved to Berlin with her family in 1971. She moved around Germany with her family until she was 18. Back in the UK she did a foundation at Epsom, a year doing illustration in Brighton and then an HND in East Ham. She went straight into magazine design from college becoming Art Director of the UK’s 2nd biggest selling women’s magazine in the 90’s and earning an IPC Designer of the Year award. Life drawing has always been her passion and since doing a summer school course at Wimbledon 18 years ago decided she needed to return to college to further her drawing.
